Fair Isle Ford Assurance Package

AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE
Subject to the terms and conditions of this assurance package, Fair Isle Ford agrees to repair or replace
  • "Damaged Tires" - tire(s) that are not able to hold air pressure as a result of being punctured by a road hazard; and
  • "Damaged Rime" - rims that prevent the tire(s) from holding air pressure as a result of damage from a road hazard
  • A "Road Hazard" is a condition on a public highway that should not be there, including nails, screws, glass, loose objects, and debris
  • This coverage is for a period of 36 months or 60,000 kilometers, whichever comes first
  • Coverage is extended to out of province occurrences, both repair and replacements, with receipts and original wheel and / or tire(s), or a picture supporting claim
  • The service will be performed by an authorized service facility
In cases where a spare tire cannot be used, coverage also includes:
  • To rent a replacement vehicles at a maximum rate of $50 per day and for accommodations at a maximum rate of $100 per day if a covered claim occurs more than 150 km from the registered owner's permanent residence and requires keeping the vehicle overnight to a repair facility
  • For road side service to tow the vehicle or change a tire up to a maximum of $50 per occurrence

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS
Fair Isle Ford is not obligated to replace a damaged tire(s) or damaged rim if it is repairable. Replace cost of tire(s) is done on a pro-rated basis, as an example 50% tire wear will require 50% customer participation.
Fair Isle Ford is not liable for damage resulting from any of the following causes:
  • Manufacturer wear;
  • Normal wear;
  • Aftermarket alterations made to the vehicle;
  • Use of the vehicle off-road or on substandard road surfaces;
  • Collision, accident, or spinout;
  • Impact with anything that is not a road hazard, including impact with curb;
  • Improper installation of tires or rims;
  • Separation of the tread from the tires;
  • Overloading the vehicle;
  • Improper inflation of the tires or operation of the vehicle on deflated tires;
  • Alterations to the appearance of the tire or rim;
  • Use of wheelchairs;
  • Theft or vandalism;
  • Rust, fire, chemical contamination, or other environmental condition; or
  • Any negligent, reckless, willfull or criminal act
  • On All Wheel Drive (AWD) and on Four Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicles, it is recommended that the overall circumference must be within one half inch of each other. In some instances, one new tire cannot be installed when the other tires are worn beyond the allowable limit. In such cases, Fair Isle Ford's responsibility is limited to the tire that must be replaces due to road hazards.
  • Assurance Pack does not intend to be used in conjunction with damage also claimed through insurance
  • Fair Isle Ford will not perform any service if the tire does not meet provincial motor vehicle inspection requirements
  • Cosmetic damage such as scrapes, scratches, or chips are not covered under this service agreement
  • Fair Isle Ford's only responsibility is to repair damaged tires and damaged rims on the terms and conditions agreement
  • Fair Isle Ford is not responsible for services or repairs that are covered by any original manufacturer or aftermarket warranty
  • Fair Isle Ford is not liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Fair Isle Ford is not liable for any injury or damages caused by tire blowout
  • Fair Isle Ford will only use reasonable commercial efforts to repair the rim and / or tire(s)
  • Coverage is not transferable

PROCEDURES FOR SERVICE

  • The buyer must take the vehicle to Fair Isle Ford Charlottetown or Montague or an authorized facility in the event of an out of province occurrence
